The auctions have begun!
The football starts on Friday 17th October. But the pre-season player auction are already underway.
The first bids will begin to mature, and the first players signed, on Sunday 12th October. But initial bids for players will keep running up until one or two days before the Adelaide vs Sydney opener, see your league for details.
This information, and all the latest bids, can be found on each league's 'trade page'.

PRE-SEASON BIDDING: Some general tips
- Bid big early! If there are some players you really want, put in a strong early bid. There may be players that go for over $1,000k (yes that's one third of your $3,000k salary cap!), so don't be afraid to make a big early move.
- Don't worry too much about having money left over. While it's good to have SOME funds remaining, so you can bid in the normal weekly trading, there's no real advantage to having $1,000k remaining once the season starts, as most of the players are gone by then...
