WELCOME TO THE ARTIFICIAL A-LEAGUE...
THE management game based on A-LEAGUE players.
Join a league, buy a squad. If your players score in the A-League, they score for your team.
If your goalie (or enough defenders) keep a clean sheet, you save a goal.

Important info regarding AAL rules:
As we have a lot of new managers this season, there may be some questions regarding Round 1 and our rules!
Here are a couple of pointers that may answer your questions:
--> To generate a save, your team must either:
- Have a keeper who plays 60+ minutes for a club that keeps a clean sheet, OR
- Have two or more defenders (from DIFFERENT A-Lg clubs) who play 60+ minutes for clubs that keeps a clean sheets.
- Also, all five defensive positions (1xGLK, 4xDEF) must be filled. Any 'empty slots' will void your save.
Roderick Miranda, a Vuck defender, was sent off in the 60th minute during their 0-0 with CCM... which is 59 minutes and 0-59 seconds on the match clock, and unfortunately doesn't qualify him for a clean sheet. Very unlucky, though he did get himself sent off!
--> 'Losing' your goals: Your team can only 'lose' a maximum of TWO goals in an AAL match.
- If your two subs score ANY GOALS between them, and your two starting strikers score ANY GOALS between them, your subs will lose ONE of their goals. This will be marked with a red -1
- If your opponent makes a SAVE (by GLK and/or DEFs), a goal will be taken from one of your players. This will be marked with a red asterisk.
- Importantly, these two rules are applied IN THE ABOVE ORDER. Which means that if your striker scores a goal, and your subs scores another, the sub's goal will FIRST be cancelled because your striker scored, THEN your striker's goal will be saved.
The lesson: Try and select your MOST LIKELY TO SCORE PLAYERS in your starting eleven, and put the NEXT BEST players on your bench!
FFFA CUP: 2024/25
Our biggest FFFA Cup is running this year, with ALL teams from EVERY division taking part in the knockout tournament.
The big First Round Proper will be running as a standalone round beginning Friday 10th January. Involving 64 of the 66 teams.
Which means we will need a preliminary round in December involving the BOTTOM FOUR TEAMS* from Oz Superleague Division 4 (* as at Tuesday 26th Nov). The two winners of this round will progress to the First Round Proper.
Cup rounds will then continue every 2-3 weeks until the final in early April.
(NOTE: All rounds except the First Round Proper will be hybrid rounds, where your team will be playing a regular LEAGUE match, AS WELL AS an FFFA Cup match, if your team is still in the competition)
The draw for the first round will be conducted in December.
IMPORTANT INFO:
- Rounds generally will run from Friday until Sunday, with some rounds beginning on Thursday, or earlier on Friday (eg NZ early kickoffs, public holidays in Australia)
- All A-League matches in each round period will count for that round, **DURING THE REGULAR AA-LEAGUE SEASON** ... BUT:
- During the AA-League finals (played over the last TWO A-League regular rounds in April/May) if an A-League team plays TWICE, ONLY THEIR SCORES IN THEIR FIRST MATCH will count!
